It is suitable for the evaluations of the electric wave absorption material and the shield material, etc.
The error by the airgap doesn't occur, because the measurement system doesn't put the sample in Ficcha, unlike the coaxial tube type or waveguide type.
The antenna can be mounted on the lens, compact even though the plane wave samples can be measured.
The sample can be smaller, because we can set a sample close to the antenna.
It is deployed in ITS, ETS systems.
It can measure a vertical angle of incidence. (If you have the vector network analyzer).
There is a transportable type, it can measure the heavy and not moved electric wave absorber, like concrete wall or asphalt road.

Reason with high accuracy
・ It is a plane wave, and there is a phase on the specimen side.
・ As it is parallel beam, an unnecessary electric wave is not incident on a lens.
・ Anechoic chamber is not required.
・ The dynamic range is wide,it is more than 50dB in case of multiplied by gating, and it is more than 40dB without gating.
