Indoor Automated Vehicle Test System

Model No. ATS

For the goal of fully automated driving, the performance of radar, which is "eyes" of the car, needs to be further improved.
In addition, in a society of high-speed, high-capacity communication systems such as 5G, it is necessary to solve the problem of radio wave interference not only from within the car itself, but also from outside.
In the light of these circumstances, Keycom can propose a test environment to evaluate and verify the functions required for automated driving as a system.

Test scenarios projected on the screen can be linked to cameras, radar, simulated GPS, and car navigation systems, allowing for more realistic tests to be conducted indoors.

Moving target type has been newly added to KEYCOM's LTS(LiDAR Test System) series.
This type enables more realistic testing by varying the relative distance (1.5m to 300m*). The system is very compact, so that it can be used on a desk in a room for smooth verification of LiDAR functions.
*The shortest distance depends on the cable length L0 and the space distance L1.

1.5. ADAS Indoor Test System [ATS02]   1.6. EMC Test system [ATS01]

The main functions related to ADAS (Advanced Driver-Assistance Systems) include ACC (Adaptive Cruise Control), AEB (Autonomous Emergency Braking), FCW (Forward Collision Warning (FCW), Lane Departure Warning (LDW) and Lane Keeping Assist (LKA).

The system is designed to test these functions indoors.

ADAS vehicles are equipped with a large number of sensors and controllers. These are sensitive to electromagnetic interference and can easily degrade or fail if the electromagnetic environment deteriorates. Therefore, EMC testing must be carefully conducted according to the necessary procedures to ensure that the ADAS will operate properly.

The projectors is used when conducting EMC tests. EMC measures are taken to ensure that other test equipment used in the test is not affected by electromagnetic waves.   As for the trend of automated vehicles, cars equipped with (1) ADAS systems and (2) network connection systems are becoming the mainstream. Keycom also develops and provides EMC test systems for (2) network connection systems, with an eye on the 5G/Beyond5G era.

  1.9. Sensor-fusion Test System[SRS05]

The scenario creation system sends information such as distance, speed, and RCS (radio wave reflection strength) to the RTS (radar test system) ,in sync with the information of the vehicle in front projected on the screen.
Then, the RTS sends the reflected wave to the radar of the test vehicle, to check the response of the system of vehicle side (ADAS, ECU).
